Youths 4 Volunteering

The youth team is delighted to announce details of a brand new project - Y4V
What's it all about? -
The aim of the project is to involve young people who are enthusiatic and passionate about volunteering in a programme that encourages and supports other young people into volunteering - it's as simple as that!.
What can I do?
You can become involved in this project if you are between the ages of 16 and 25, and you needn't have experience as full training will be given. You will also receive ongoing support from the VCNA Youth Development Team. You can become involved in one of three opportunities:
1. Volunteer Reps- as a rep you will champion volunteering within your school, recruit young people into volunteering by referring them to the GIV team, assist the youth team in delivering Active Citizenship Workshops and be a channel of information between teaching staff and the work of the youth development team.
2. Get Ready to Volunteer (GIV) Team - as a GIV Team volunteer you will work with the youth team to recruit, train and support young people into volunteering. You will have the opportunity to develop a training programme and information pack specifically for young volunteers.
3. Consultation Team - As a member of the consultation team you will influence the work of the youth team by having a say in how the youth work programme develops. You will identify and develop potential youth volunteering opportunities and will also have the opportunity to present your findings to the VCNA Board of Directors and work with them to implement changes.
How do I become involved?
There really is something for everyone with this project! If you are interested in being involved or would like to find out more please give Anne-Marie or Charlotte a call on 01294 277300.
Young people on this project will be eligible to join the MV Award Programme.
BECOME RICHER. WORK FOR NOTHING.
